Plans and AI usage
You can start using newsence for free. Pro mainly removes Workspace and file limits and enables the full model catalog, private Collections, and image generation.

Documents do not require Pro to remain private. Every new document is a private draft and becomes visible outside your account only when you enable public sharing. Pro’s current privacy difference primarily concerns private Collections.
How AI usage is counted
Section titled “How AI usage is counted”Every billable provider call consumes part of your period allowance according to its actual cost. That includes individual model steps used for chat and AI-created content, image generation, podcast script generation, and audio synthesis. A multi-step answer can therefore consume more than a short single-step answer. Expensive models, longer output, and audio synthesis use more of the allowance; light work and cheaper models use less.
The interface shows only the percentage used for the period, never provider prices, tokens, or dollar amounts. Completed provider work is reported to Autumn from its measured token usage. If that post-response report temporarily fails, newsence preserves the generated result and records an operational error for investigation rather than discarding your work. The interface refreshes the balance after an operation, although provider and billing updates can take a short time to appear.
Review usage
Section titled “Review usage”Go to Settings → Usage to see:
- your AI usage percentage for the current period;
- the next reset time;
When the period allowance is used up, new AI operations stop and show an upgrade prompt. Reading and organizing existing content or manually editing a document is unaffected. If an upstream AI service is temporarily limited, the interface asks you to retry later instead of incorrectly suggesting an upgrade.
Manage a subscription
Section titled “Manage a subscription”Pro users can open the billing portal from Settings → Pricing to update payment methods or manage their subscription. A past-due payment shows a recovery notice and link to the portal; Autumn may keep Pro access active during that recovery window. Canceled or expired subscriptions lose their Pro entitlements when Autumn expires them.
